Trump's team aims to dismantle ICC

The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump has pledged to gradually dismantle the International Criminal Court in response to its threats against Americans and without the United States becoming a member. The U.S. Department of State announced sanctions on 17 individuals associated with the court, aiming to prevent the Court from prosecuting Americans or political leaders, labeling it a "rogue court." This move comes after Navi Pillay was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, which Trump considered a rebuke to him and Netanyahu. Many countries, including members of the Court, oppose these sanctions and emphasize the independence of the Court and its role in defending international rule of law.
