F1 Singapore Sprint Start Delay
The start of the sprint race for the Singapore Grand Prix has been postponed due to heavy rain, which caused water pooling on the track and hindered the scheduled race today, Saturday. The track conditions were assessed by the medical car, and the FIA confirmed the presence of significant standing water at turns two and three, leading to the delay. The race is set for 21 laps, with Dutch driver Max Verstappen leading the qualifying session. This is the first sprint race held in Singapore, and Verstappen aims to secure his first victory on this circuit. The postponement due to rain has been repeated, following last week's delay of the Malaysian Grand Prix due to weather conditions and car software issues, as the season has experienced frequent rainfall affecting some races.
