Israeli Probe Critics Netanyahu's October 7 Account
An Israeli report reveals that previous documents and warnings contradict Benjamin Netanyahu's account of Hamas's attack in October 2023. It shows that Israel failed to accurately assess Hamas's intentions and capabilities, and that policies of calm and maintaining stability were part of the political and military approach that persisted for years before the attack. The investigation also examines the accuracy of Israel's judgments regarding deterrence against Hamas and highlights the existence of security reports and warnings warning of the possibility of escalation, with differing perceptions regarding the readiness of the Israeli security apparatus for a sudden attack.
