Flight Radar reports 546 flights canceled to Riyadh
A Houthi attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh led to the cancellation or diversion of 546 flights, approximately 74% of the day's flights, causing a temporary halt in operations at the city airport, which has a population of about 8 million. This occurred alongside increased regional tensions, as aviation data showed aircraft near the airport avoiding flying in its vicinity after 12 people were killed in the attack. Saudi officials announced that all flights had been rerouted away from Riyadh, while the United States discussed the possibility of participating in additional strikes against the Houthis in response to the escalation.
