North Korea Shows Modest Display and Loyalty at Party Celebrations

North Korea celebrated the 81st anniversary of the ruling Workers' Party with a modest ceremony attended by leader Kim Jong Un. The event featured performances of patriotic songs, acrobatics, and dances, along with expressions of loyalty to the party and the nation. Kim did not issue a statement on this occasion, and the celebration was smaller in scale compared to previous years, unlike the five-year and decade-long milestones that are usually marked by extensive military displays and weapons exhibitions, including a large missile parade last year. The official narrative reaffirmed Kim's goal of building a strong party and achieving national resurgence, with officials, party members from various regions, and representatives from foreign missions in attendance.
