Zelensky Supports Energy Truce Idea

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he is unaware of the ceasefire announced by U.S. President Donald Trump between Moscow and Kyiv regarding the targeting of energy infrastructure. However, he expressed support for the idea and his readiness to accept it if an agreement is reached. Trump announced a tentative agreement not to target energy facilities between Russia and Ukraine, despite the ongoing war. The agreement also included Russia’s commitment to supply international markets with millions of tons of diesel in the coming months. Zelenskyy confirmed that if the Russians agree to a ceasefire concerning energy issues, he would support it as well, expressing surprise at the announcement.
