Britain Blames Iran for Airbase Plot
Britain accuses Iran of planning an attack on the "Fairford" Air Force Base, which is used by the U.S. military, following the detention last September of five individuals suspected of attempting to carry out a bombing attack. The British Prime Minister confirmed that authorities strongly suggest the operation was coordinated from within Iran and may have been carried out under the guidance of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. He emphasized that Britain will not tolerate threats on its territory and will take all necessary measures. In response, Iran denied the allegations, describing them as a conspiracy aimed at justifying American and Israeli support for efforts to sabotage Iran, and reaffirmed that there is no concrete evidence of its involvement.
