Egyptians support Sisi on constitutional stance

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed that the Egyptian constitution will not be amended and expressed his rejection of the constitutional modifications, reiterating his commitment to serve until the end of his presidential term in 2030. Political parties and groups welcomed these statements, considering them a positive step toward reinforcing respect for the constitution and expanding political participation, while opposition forces are leaning towards the possibility of political breakthroughs in the future. Experts anticipate that this speech will generate national political momentum, despite ongoing calls for constitutional amendments, although Sisi emphasized that the decision not to amend the constitution is politically settled.
