Jerusalem in a Century

The "Memory of Jerusalem" collection, prepared by Jordanian historian Mohammed Hashim Gusha, documents the history of occupied Jerusalem and details of its Palestinian life and political and social changes through photographs dating back nearly a century. The images, compiled into five volumes, reflect the architectural and historical features of the city and connect different eras—British occupation, Jordanian rule, and the Palestinian resistance movement. Gusha's project aims to preserve Palestinian heritage and make it accessible to a wider audience, reflecting his personal experience with the Nakba and Israel's occupation of East Jerusalem in 1967.
