Egypt and Sudan oppose interference in their ties

Egypt and Sudan reaffirmed the depth of their brotherly relations and rejected any attempt to harm these ties, which are based on mutual respect and good neighborliness, following an incident involving gold miners near their border and the killing of Egyptians in Khartoum. During their meeting, the two sides emphasized Egypt's support for the unity of Sudan and the integrity of its territory, along with ongoing efforts to end the war there. These statements come in the context of Egypt's support for Sudan amidst rising tensions, amid reports of Egyptian airstrikes on Sudanese mining areas and Sudanese armed groups targeting Egyptian truck drivers. These events are considered security and political actions aimed at protecting sovereignty and strengthening bilateral relations, with a call to enhance political and economic cooperation and to establish a Sudanese committee to investigate the border incidents.
