Saving Maryam from Gaza bombing

Little girl Mariam was rescued after being trapped inside an apartment that was hit by Israeli shelling west of Gaza City. She was saved from the fire after intervention by residents and neighbors. Her mother, however, died from injuries sustained during the attack. The shelling occurred in the early hours of the night on the family’s home, resulting in the mother's martyrdom and severe burns for Mariam, as doctors now struggle to treat her injuries. Mariam is currently living with her family after losing her parents and is undergoing long-term treatment for her burn injuries. Her story is one among many cases of killings and displacement caused by the Israeli escalation in Gaza.
