First green star found in universe

Astronomers have, for the first time, observed a white star appearing green to the human eye, through analyzing the spectra of white dwarfs, whose colors typically depend on their temperature. The study revealed that some white dwarfs can glow in stunning hues as a result of interactions between elements such as helium, iron, magnesium, and sodium in their outer layers, causing deviations in their spectra. Additionally, researchers identified the presence of rocky materials on the surfaces of some of these stars, suggesting the existence of a prior planetary system or a nearby asteroid body. This study is the first evidence of the existence of green or pink stars, based on the analysis of spectra showing unusual colors. It underscores the importance of such research in understanding the composition of planets and celestial bodies associated with white dwarfs.
