Moroccan King replaces minister after government formation

King Mohammed VI of Morocco dismissed Minister of Vocational Training, Madiha Khayir, from her position after only two days from her appointment. This decision followed media reports and social media discussions accusing her of having been convicted in a fraud case in 2004. Reports also mentioned that she had suffered from mental health issues and had attempted suicide. The move came after the Prime Minister, Fatima-Zahra Marzouki, requested it, and the King approved in accordance with Article 47 of the Constitution. This step is considered exceptional, as Madiha Khayir was among the ministers in the new government formed by the first woman to hold the position of Prime Minister in Morocco.
