Egyptian Parliament to discuss Saudi support Monday

The Egyptian Parliament held a session at the request of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to discuss and provide defensive support to Saudi Arabia. A new session has been scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, to review the request. Sisi clarified that Egypt will implement any defensive measures in favor of the Kingdom, emphasizing that the goal is to protect and secure Saudi Arabia, not to attack any party. This comes in conjunction with the Egyptian National Defense Council's decision to fully endorse Saudi Arabia and provide the necessary support, amid escalating tensions in the region following Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia and ongoing military operations in Yemen.
