Russian drone strikes kill 7 in Kyiv

Seven people were killed in Kyiv and the surrounding area as a result of intensive Russian drone attacks, which included the use of 165 Shahed drones, more than 100 of which are jet-powered, making them harder to intercept. The strikes focused on energy infrastructure in western Ukraine, damaging three facilities in Ternopil and Odesa, leading to power outages affecting approximately 30,000 people. President Zelensky held talks with the U.S. Secretary of State regarding the missile defense system and the Starlink system, which is facing restrictions that diminish Ukraine's ability to use drones and missile attacks.
