Iran Foreign Ministry on Egypt's Yemen Remarks

The article focused on the escalation of tensions between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis, as Saudi Arabia experienced Houthi attacks on its airports, including strikes on Riyadh Airport and King Khalid International Airport, which resulted in casualties from several countries and totaled eight attacks over the course of a week. Saudi Arabia responded with military strikes on Yemen. The report also discussed the regional implications of these events, including statements from the United States and Iran. Iran opposed including Yemen-related issues in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's statement, emphasizing that solutions should be reached through dialogue and reconciliation, and that additional intervention by Islamic countries would not resolve the issue. The escalation led to Egyptian calls for military support for Saudi Arabia, with parliamentary discussions underway regarding authorizing Egyptian forces to support Saudi Arabia in defending its security and stability.
