Pakistani Army chief's messages in Tehran

The article addresses the Iranian escalation in the Strait of Hormuz, where two oil tankers caught fire after colliding with mines that Iran claimed to have planted beforehand, raising threats of zero tolerance toward "violating" ships. These events coincide with the visit of the Pakistani Army Chief to Iran, which was part of its mediation efforts between the United States and Iran. Iranian officials carried clear messages that they would not back down from their positions, including their refusal to hand over enriched nuclear materials and their previous conditions for resuming negotiations. Iranian statements reflect a firm stance on their demands, considering that any negotiations are conditioned on Washington fulfilling its requirements. Meanwhile, regional and international tensions are escalating, with concerns about a possible escalation that could threaten the vital global energy corridor, the Strait of Hormuz.
