Tekov Offers New Peace Plan to Putin

Reports indicate that U.S. envoy Steve Weitzkoff will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Saint Petersburg to present a recent proposal aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. This proposal is based on the outcomes of the recent Oslo talks involving Ukrainian and European officials. The plan is expected to include security guarantees for Ukraine similar to NATO's Article 5, with the goal of initiating direct negotiations involving the United States, Russia, and Ukraine. Despite progress in the meetings, European concerns remain about the continuity of U.S. support and Moscow’s hesitation to reach a settlement.
