Israeli army kills special needs individual in southern Syria

A person with a disability was killed by Israeli soldiers during their incursion into the Joma village in the Daraa countryside in southern Syria. The occupation forces, consisting of more than 12 vehicles, deployed snipers on the rooftops of houses and opened fire inside the village, resulting in the civilian's death. Israel regularly carries out nighttime infiltrations that include search operations. Syria accuses Israel of violating ceasefire agreements through ongoing infiltrations, and Israeli military activity in the region has increased since the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime in December 2024, with hundreds of strikes carried out on Syrian facilities.
