Ukraine president denies personal ties with Trump

The article focused on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's statements regarding the deterioration of his relationship with former U.S. President Donald Trump and how this has affected U.S. support for Ukraine in its war against Russia. Zelensky explained that there is nothing personal behind the disagreements, but he pointed out that Trump's actions and strategies—such as supporting Russia's interests and making concessions to it—complicate peace efforts and weaken Ukraine's position. He also criticized Trump's behaviors that prioritize personal interests over democratic values and support for Ukraine, highlighting that the war is worsening and that its causes are related to an intention to break Ukraine apart and destroy it, especially with Russia continuing deadly attacks without condemnation from Trump. Zelensky affirmed Ukraine's commitment to resisting the occupation and stated he will continue to work towards peace. However, he remains cautious about how American disagreements might impact efforts to reach a diplomatic solution.
