Kenya Viral Video of Man Chasing Cyclist
A video showing a man chasing a woman in a rural area of Kenya has gone viral online. However, the incident occurred during a three-year adventure cycling trip initiated by Moroccan adventurer Mariam Belkihil, during which she traveled through 33 countries. Belkihil clarified that the man appearing in the video was from the Samburu tribe and was carrying a wooden staff, not a machete. She also stated that the area where the incident took place is unsafe, but she ignored the locals' advice not to go there. She confirmed that the clip was taken out of context and sparked racist comments and blame directed at her for traveling alone, despite the journey being filled with positive encounters with people. She plans to travel from Morocco to Europe next year.
