Baskri: Beating Switzerland boosts quarter-final hopes
Algerian coach Mustapha Biskri emphasized that the national team's chances of reaching the round of 16 in the World Cup are possible if they manage to overcome Switzerland. He highlighted the importance of solid defensive cohesion and the team's readiness to face Switzerland, which qualified as the top team in its group and defeated the host nation. If the Algerian team beats Switzerland, they will face the winner of the Colombia-Ghana match, both of whom are nearly on the same level as Switzerland. The national team is scheduled to face its Swiss counterpart early Friday morning in the Round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup in America.
