Spanish Prime Minister Condemns Morocco Migration into Ceuta

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez, speaking from the city of Ceuta, affirmed that the large influx of undocumented migrants from Morocco over the past 24 hours constitutes a violation of Spain's territorial integrity, amidst rising migration waves and mounting pressure on authorities. Estimates indicate that around 49,000 migrants crossed from Morocco into Ceuta during that period. Sánchez also blamed human trafficking networks for exploiting the situation to force migrants to attempt crossing, linking this to a Spanish court decision three weeks ago that prohibits the immediate return of migrants arriving by swimming. The Spanish government emphasized its determination to take all necessary measures to ensure the security of the city and the safety of its residents.
