72 Moroccan migrants lose lives en route to Ceuta
The death toll among Moroccan migrants who attempted to illegally reach Ceuta has risen to 72, according to Spanish authorities, up from the previous figure of 67. The figures indicate that tens of thousands of migrants have tried to cross the border by force in recent days, with most being returned to Morocco. Additionally, Melilla, which borders Ceuta, has seen intense attempts to cross the border as well, prompting Spanish authorities to intensify security measures and tighten surveillance along Morocco's northern border.
