Al-Marmala areas and 400 housing units submerged in trash
The article addresses the crisis faced by the city of Boumerdes, where residents of El Mermila neighborhood and 400 housing units are dealing with a buildup of hazardous waste due to a shortage of containers and the deterioration of existing ones. This situation threatens public health and the environment and tarnishes the city's tourist image. The residents are calling for urgent intervention to provide new containers and improve their distribution to ensure a clean environment, especially during the summer months when the number of visitors increases. The article also highlights the stagnation in the activity zone of the Zemmouri municipality for over 15 years, due to incomplete development projects and the halt of industrial initiatives, despite available land. Officials are urged to resolve the issue to create job opportunities and foster genuine investment growth.
