The single-unit water treatment plant was inaugurated in the Al-Afroun municipality of Blida province, which will enhance the supply of clean drinking water to residents after years of a water crisis. Its production capacity is 8,600 cubic meters per day, and it is expected to become operational within the next week after completing the final phase of the project. Through this initiative, residents aim to end the water shortage crisis and reduce the frequent supply interruptions, especially during the summer months when water consumption rises. Additionally, the project seeks to improve the distribution schedule from once every ten to twelve days to once every two or three days, while ensuring continuous service and reducing the speculation on tanker prices.
