Algeria has successfully exported air conditioners to Europe, reflecting the development of its industrial sector and its increasing ability to claim shares in the global market. A report indicated that exporting 250,000 units from Confor's factory to Europe, especially to France, Spain, and Italy, demonstrates Algeria's efforts to diversify its economy away from oil. It also contributes to establishing direct supply chains from Algeria for faster access and reducing reliance on long shipments from Asia. Additionally, the company's collaboration with Hisense to develop Africa’s largest factory strengthens Algeria's export ambitions, with an production capacity reaching two million units annually, approximately 80% of which are designated for export. This supports economic diversification and decreases dependence on oil exports.
