Al-Massaa Water Projects
From Tlemcen, Irrigation Minister Lounas Bouzgaza launched downstream connection projects for the seawater desalination plants at Ain Adjroud in Tlemcen, Sidi El Ajal in Mostaganem, and El Marsa in Chlef. The projects aim to strengthen water security and ensure a sustainable supply of drinking water. Extending over more than 250 kilometres, they are designed to meet the needs of more than nine million people by 2050 through the construction of transmission pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs, and modern management and monitoring systems. More than 66 billion dinars has been allocated to connect the Ain Adjroud plant, strengthening water supplies in the provinces of Tlemcen and Sidi Bel Abbès.
