Trump Launches Bitcoin Campaign, Investors Refrain
President Donald Trump reported over $1.4 billion in income tied to his family's cryptocurrency ventures in 2025, amid sluggish cryptocurrency adoption in the United States. Despite efforts to promote crypto investment through regulatory changes and Trump’s campaigns to position the U.S. as a crypto leader, only about 10% of Americans used or owned digital currencies in 2025, with many investors exiting the market following significant price declines. The value of Bitcoin has halved since its peak in October 2025, contributing to reduced investor interest and skepticism about its role as a financial asset or retirement investment.
