Optimism ahead of football fall practice
Carson, the defending City Section Open Division football champion, began official practices for the new season, which starts in late August. Due to year-round training, players had already been conditioning and learning plays during spring and summer, making opening day less chaotic than in the past. The team has over 100 players, including 37 freshmen, with plans for acclimation and intra-squad scrimmages before the season begins.
