Homan reviews vetting after Maine shooting
A fatal shooting by ICE agent David Brouillette in Maine is under scrutiny amid allegations of violent and threatening behavior from his ex-wives, raising questions about the agency’s vetting process. Officials are investigating whether past misconduct was properly identified before his employment, as Brouillette acknowledged his role in the incident. The shooting has added to criticism of ICE staffing and training standards amid recent fatal encounters involving agents.
