Beverly Hills teacher sues after firing over posts
Joanie Garratt, a substitute history teacher at Beverly Hills High School, is suing the school district after her employment was terminated for social media posts criticizing President Trump. She claims her First Amendment rights were violated when she was fired for comments made outside school hours, despite her posts addressing issues related to a pro-Trump rally and racial harassment at the school. The lawsuit alleges the district's action was based on her political expression and seeks damages.
