Deloitte to Pay $21.5M in DOJ DEI Settlement
Deloitte has agreed to pay $21.5 million to settle Department of Justice allegations that it violated the False Claims Act by discriminating based on race and sex in its federal workforce practices. The settlement addresses claims that the company used diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) goals to influence promotion decisions, which the DOJ states is unlawful. Deloitte denies liability, and the case resolves claims brought by a group founded by conservative activist Edward Blum.
