Callaway ad sparks widespread upset
Callaway Golf and Good Good Golf faced backlash after posting and removing an ad that depicted a man pushing a woman to the ground, which many viewers considered to portray violence against women. The companies apologized on social media but continued to face criticism, with some saying the ad was tone deaf and triggering for survivors of domestic violence. Experts noted that such portrayals in advertising can perpetuate harmful stereotypes and normalize violence against women.
