Israel seizes Unrwa training college in East Jerusalem
Israeli security forces have seized and closed the last operational UNRWA training facility in East Jerusalem, the Qalandia Training Centre, which has been used since 1952 to provide vocational education to Palestinians. The raid was conducted with Israel's Prime Minister and National Security Minister present, and follows recent legislation banning UNRWA activities in Israeli-controlled areas. Israel claims that some UNRWA employees were involved in a deadly attack on southern Israel, though UNRWA denies evidence of any direct involvement, and the move has been strongly condemned by the UN.
