Uber introduces live ride sharing for teens
Uber is expanding its teen safety features by allowing parents to watch live video of their teenagers’ Uber rides through driver’s front-facing cameras. Currently piloted in nine U.S. markets, the livestream is available during trips and ends automatically afterward, with access restricted to the teen’s parent or guardian. The feature aims to enhance safety and transparency while still offering other protections like trip tracking and PIN verification. Uber plans to roll out the livestream option nationwide in the coming weeks.
