German airport worker succumbs to malaria
A worker at Frankfurt Airport died from malaria following a rare outbreak involving six infected employees, believed to have been caused by mosquitoes arriving on a plane. The remaining five individuals are receiving treatment, and mosquito traps have been set up at the airport for analysis. Malaria transmission at German airports is uncommon, with the disease typically associated with travel to endemic regions.
