Graham's sister wins GOP Senate primary
Darline Graham, sister of the late Senator Lindsey Graham, was elected as the Republican candidate to contest his US Senate seat in South Carolina, with strong support from President Donald Trump. Her victory over Ralph Norman is seen as a sign of Trump's continued influence over the Republican Party, and she is expected to win the November election in a state that has not elected a Democrat to the Senate in decades. Graham, who previously served as interim senator after her brother's death, acknowledged her lack of political experience during the campaign.
