Plumber and dentist hailed as heroes in FlyDubai incident
A Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv was forced into an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia after a copilot went on a stabbing attack, injuring the captain and causing a steep descent. Passengers, including a plumber who seized the controls and a dentist who treated the injured captain, subdued the attacker and helped stabilize the plane before the plane landed safely. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu praised the passengers’ heroism, and many, including the plumber, were recommended for civilian hero awards.
