IDF denies targeting journalists in Gaza
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has stated that some individuals presenting as journalists in Gaza are actually members of Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and other terrorist groups. An investigation has identified 170 such operatives, many of whom have been killed, who reportedly used press credentials while serving as military operatives. The IDF emphasizes that these individuals concealed their roles within terrorist organizations, and highlights that targeting journalists is a violation of international law, though many reports have blurred the line between legitimate media and terrorists.
