New Expedition Launches for Earhart
Purdue University has launched an expedition in the South Pacific to search for the missing aircraft of Amelia Earhart, who disappeared in 1937 during a around-the-world flight. The team, traveling to Fiji, Kiribati, and specifically Nikumaroro Island, is investigating a satellite-discovered anomaly believed to be Earhart’s plane, with key artifacts and evidence supporting the theory that she landed there. The mission aims to locate and identify the aircraft, potentially providing proof of the long-standing mystery of Earhart’s disappearance.
