LIV golfers' pledge deadline extended amid initial funding
LIV Golf's future remains uncertain as the league extended its player commitment deadline from October 13 to October 25 amid its bankruptcy filing and a recent $300 million investment from BC Partners. The league, funded by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, filed for bankruptcy after withdrawing support, but the new investment aims to revitalize plans for a 2027 season with a 10-tournament schedule. Notable players like Bryson DeChambeau and Jon Rahm remain associated with LIV, which may release players from existing contracts amid ongoing restructuring.
