Minnesota man linked to Mall of America plot
An 18-year-old Minnesota man was arrested after FBI evidence showed he planned to carry out a mass shooting at the Mall of America, believing he would support ISIS. He allegedly purchased weapons and discussed attacking the mall around a large event date, with plans possibly including a mass casualty attack. The FBI investigation, which began in December 2024, involved extensive online communications where he expressed intent to join terrorist groups or carry out attacks locally.
