Poll Indicates Washington Voters Support End to Boys' Sports
A ballot measure in Washington state, Initiative 638, aims to prohibit biological males from competing against girls in K-12 sports. Recent polling indicates strong support for the measure, with 56% of likely voters favoring it, primarily among Republicans, and substantial backing from Democrats and independents. Supporters argue the initiative is necessary to protect girls' sports, while opponents raise concerns about misleading scare tactics; the measure could make Washington the first blue state to implement voter-approved gender separation in school sports.
