Climber dies after Sierra summit
Search and rescue teams recovered the body of Brian Seibert after he fell from Mount Morgan in the Sierra National Forest. Seibert, a climber attempting the mountain's north ridge, was last heard from after summitting, but was found deceased near the base of Grand Central Couloir following a multi-day search involving volunteers and aerial support. The rescue effort, which took over 300 hours, was prompted by his failure to return and the discovery of his name in the summit register.
