Huddersfield George Hotel update delay
The restoration of the Grade II* listed George Hotel in Huddersfield has been delayed, now expected to complete in summer 2028 due to structural issues and asbestos discovery. Originally scheduled for completion next year, the project aims to transform the historic building into a 108-room Radisson RED hotel with amenities, securing its future and boosting local investment. The project costs have increased from £20 million to £30 million because of unforeseen problems during construction.
