PAC that funded Blakeman's run minimal support now
The article reports that a property tax grievance-focused PAC has significantly reduced its financial support for Long Island Republican Bruce Blakeman’s gubernatorial campaign, contributing only $5,000 compared to much larger amounts previously donated to his county executive campaigns. This decline suggests the PAC's support is primarily local, reflecting its interest in Nassau County politics and its focus on maintaining the existing frozen property assessment system, which critics say inflates property challenges and higher taxes. The PAC's principal donors, connected to property tax firms, have historically contributed substantial funds to local Republican committees, which in turn support Blakeman and other candidates, influencing local tax policies and election outcomes.
