Plaza Hotel Closure Impact on Condos
The Plaza Hotel in New York will close in 2027 for a four-year renovation of its landmark facade, as part of preservation requirements. The hotel's luxury condos—separate from the hotel operations—are not expected to be affected, as they have different entrances and staff. The closure will temporarily displace 378 staff members, who may return upon reopening, while the condo units remain a sought-after property due to their historic status and prime location.
