Coyote attack on toddler in Atwater Village
A 16-month-old child was injured in Los Angeles after an encounter with a coyote in Atwater Village. Wildlife officers responded, euthanized a nearby coyote, and collected DNA samples to determine if it was responsible for the attack. Previous sightings and concerns about coyotes roaming the neighborhood have heightened fears, with residents reporting aggressive behavior and suspicion of feeding practices that attract the animals. Authorities advise caution, urging residents to keep a safe distance from coyotes and secure their properties.
