Subtropical Storm Josephine Develops Near Mid-Atlantic
Subtropical Storm Josephine formed off the Mid-Atlantic coast, with sustained winds of 65 mph, and is expected to remain offshore while drifting northeast before dissipating this weekend. The storm may strengthen into a hurricane-force system within 36 hours but will mainly impact open Atlantic waters, with some wind and rain affecting parts of the East Coast, particularly Cape Cod. Coastal flooding is possible around high tide from the Mid-Atlantic to Cape Cod through Friday.
